Five Fun Blogs for Parents with Active Toddlers

Toddlers rely on their parents for their entertainment so parents are always looking for fun ways to keep them busy and happy.  This is important since playtime is how children learn about and interact with the world around them. Incorporating activities that are creative and educational can also help with their growth and development while they are also learning at the same time.  In this month's blog we wanted to feature five blogs with some pretty cool toddler activities that are not only fun but also educational as well.

The Activity Mom

Learning should be fun and that's the main focus of the Activity-Mom Blog.  Upon landing on this webpage you will immediately find lots of fun activities to keep children of all ages engaged and busy.  Activities are based on a variety of interests and are available for free download.  There is even a section dedicated just to Holiday Activities.  Don’t just take our word for it.  Check out their Toddler section for yourself.  You will not be disappointed.

Fireflies and Mud Pies

Children of all ages love arts and crafts.  Fireflies and Mudpies is another website where you can find lots of fun arts and craft activities for young children. There are activities that can be done seasonally and many others for the outdoors.  Cooking is another activity children enjoy doing with their parents.  Check out their recipe section with lots of yummy foods parents can also have fun making with their kids.

Toddler Approved

Started by a former teacher and mother of four, this blog is geared to helping busy parents find fun activities for their children while offering useful and valuable resources parents can rely on.  On Toddler Approved you will find activities that are categorized by types of play and learning.  There is even a section on some basic supplies you will need to have on hand for a variety of toddler activities.  For children up to age 6, there is no shortage of fun activities to do.

My Bored Toddler

It's very important to keep young children entertained and not bored for an extended period of time.  Children just can’t help finding something to do or to play with so why not visit My Bored Toddler for ideas that hopefully will keep them from getting into trouble.  This blog even categorizes activities by age to help parents find age appropriate activities a lot easier.  There is even a section for seasonal activities too.

Rainy Day Mum

Finally Rainy Day Mum is an international blog we couldn’t exclude from our list.  Lets face it, parents everywhere need a helping hand finding activities for kids stuck indoors on rainy days.  On Rainy Day Mum there is a reading section as well as another for sensory play.  There are also activities based on subjects like Math, Science and History. All activities to keep young children engaged while they are learning.
