Going on a trip or vacation is something many families look forward to and love doing together.  What are some destinations that are perfect for families with babies or young children?  Below is a short list of baby and kid friendly destinations you may already know and want to consider for your next trip.

An Inclusive Vacation Resort or Cruise

Many vacation resorts now offer all inclusive vacation packages for families traveling together.   Some accommodations or services they may provide are nannies, nurseries, adjoining rooms for kids, and kid friendly meals.  Disney Cruises, for example, offers pools and waterslides, on shore excursions and even a kids club where children can participate in lots of fun games and activities.

The Beach

If you don't live far from a beach then a trip is one way for families with young children and babies to go out and have some fun without breaking the bank.  How soon can you take a baby to the beach?  That depends of course on their age and how soon parents feel comfortable with it.  Some parents take their babies to the beach for the first time when they are around 9 months old.  No matter when you're ready to take your baby for a swim, having the right baby gear will ensure everyone has a good time.  Besides the normal baby bag essentials, try including a baby beach tent, swim diapers, sunscreen lotion, water resistant blankets, a hat and a few baby beach toys they will enjoy playing with.

Amusement Parks

Disneyland and Disney World have always been popular vacation spots for families with young children.  Other places include Six Flags, Legoland and Sesame Place which is located in Pennsylvania.  Amusement parks have attractions and rides for all ages and the life size characters always appeal to small children.  They make perfect vacation destinations because they offer a variety of activities and entertainment families can enjoy together while making lasting memories.

National or Local Parks

Visiting National Parks has been a popular vacation destination for families for many years.  Not only does it provide an opportunity for families to see and enjoy the parks natural beauty and its wildlife but it's a great place for young children to learn more about nature and the many ways these parks are helping to protect and preserve the environment.  Some of the most popular national parks include Yosemite National Park, Grand Canyon National Park and Yellowstone National Park.   Local parks are also great places for camping, fishing and hiking during summer months when kids are not in school.  They're a great opportunity for both parents and kids who enjoy the outdoors to stay healthy and active while enjoying the great scenery all parks have to offer.
